66 kv Power Distribution Transformer

A 66kV power transformer is an electrical device that changes the voltage level of an incoming power supply. It is typically used in power transmission systems to step-up the voltage from a generator or substation to a higher level before it is sent over long distances via power lines.

11/22kv On-Load Distribution Transformer

An 11/22kV transformer is a power transformer that regulates and distributes electrical power at a safe voltage level in Industrial/Commercial/Residential areas. These power transformers feed local transformers responsible for distributing power to different buildings in a specific area. The 11/22kv transformer diagram above illustrates how power is regulated at substations from high voltage to an appropriate level for local distribution.

An on-load transformer is a transformer that is connected to an electrical load and has a current flowing in its secondary winding. The load can be resistive, inductive, or capacitive. The secondary current creates a magnetic field that opposes the primary field and reduces the flux in the core. This affects the voltage regulation and efficiency of the transformer.

11/22 KV Off-Load Distribution Transformer

The 11/22-kV distribution is primarily directed at urban and other densely populated areas, and our efforts are focused on reducing overall costs (by making the equipment more compact and reducing equipment costs), by enhancing the distribution system to ensure improved reliability and better availability. To optimize the distribution efficiency from substations,11/22-kV power may be distributed to the point of demand where it is stepped down to 6 kV, or in other cases such as industrial zones and sparsely populated regions, power may be supplied by 6-kV distribution systems.

An off-load tap changer is a mechanism used to adjust the turns ratio of a transformer to make changes to the secondary voltage. This is done to compensate for a fall in terminal voltage below the regulatory allowance. Off-load tap-changing mechanisms require the transformer to be isolated before its tap settings can be adjusted.
